Turn the CAPS Lock off for starters....Second of all, how were you launching the car, slipping the clutch, dropping the clutch, not using the clutch during shifts? Have you tried driving the car since then, after the clutch has had a chance to cool?

Congratulations! That is the very first sign that your trans is about to turn into a maraca! Better start saving now... transmissions are damn expensive.

once again... this is EVIDENCE of a badly designed tranny... or bad heat treatment .... or.. umm bad warrenty service... or... umm.. or...uhhh its just plain crappy this tranny!

you forgot to add BAD DRIVERS.

as for the crunching, just take it to your local subaru dealer and tell them exactly what you did to cause it, im sure they will be more than happy to warranty it for you. Dont listen to these jokers.

Dont tell them how you did it. Im tempted to go off. But, the trannys are not that stong but should hold up fine when not abused. Im guessing you are hard on it. Good luck, and smoothout your everday shifting, and avoid hard launches a slamming it into each gear. You can shift very fast, and be smooth.

I have been practicing (it takes a lot) but this should help the life of your tranny while not forcing you to drive like a half-blind-grandmother-on-sunday

oh.. but that is only for real racing that requires more than upshifting.. that drag stuff, well.. buy a civic

i destroyed a FWD tranny in a day.

im much nicer now...i just had a lot of money/other things riding on winning that night.

my wrx is treated much better...dont have to powershift to stayin the powerband.

learn to drive a car that has torque. if you drive a z28 like that youll snap the rear end like a toothpick.
