Post cheap gas

whoever's up now, gas is 56.5 in burnaby and new west, past metrotown. That's the lowest i've seen in a long time. Dont' know if it's gonna stay that price tho, over by my house, east side, it's still
69.9

56.5 is the cheapest? Oh sorry folks! I just filled up a tank of 91 (Gold for Shell) for 64.9 a litre, regular is only 54.9, it's right at Maryhill bypass and Pitt River Road corner at Port Coquitlam. The price is like that for 2 days already!

It's plain-jane 87 for me! The only type of fuel that I will not fill up with is ethanolized gasoline (i.e. Mowhawk). Heard bad stuff about that type of gas.

Anywayz, back to cheap gas -- on Canada Way between Willingdon and Boundary it's 56.5 right now!

LaterZ!

The lengths some people go to save a few bucks on gas. Coming home today at 8pm, the Esso on boundary and Imperial was at 56.x and cars backed up to the intersection!

Not worth the trouble to be in a long line up, possibly get rear-ended (especially Boundary with fast moving traffic), and causing a blockade for people turning right from Boundary onto Imperial, who have to turn into the farthest lane. How ghetto can people get?

hmm... I just filled up at a Chevron that's at 54.6... It's on east hastings, just after the bridge before Clark... I decided to buy Supreme Plus since it's cheaper than the normal price I pay for gas...

For the RS, good 'ol 87 will do just fine for your car. Anything higher, and you're wasting your money! The higher the octane rating, the slower burning the fuel and the less power you can potentially get from it (from just burning it). The reason why some cars make more power using the higher octane gas is that the ignition timing takes advantage of the slower-burning process of the high-octane fuel. The WRX has the added benefit of the turbo charger cramming in more air into the mixture too!

I would only buy higher-octane gas if:
a) the price is cheaper than anything else out there
and
b) there isn't any 87 octane gas left!

that's what happened to Sheel at Canada Way/Willingdon. They ran out of 87 octane gas and were selling 91 at 87 price.

as for line up for cheap gas...watch out for idiots trying to back up or even urself couldn't wait for the guy in front of u and try to pass him...

we have done lots of estimate on ppl back up and hit others when they are lining up for gas...and damage is not like $100sth...they are probably pissed off coz of the long wait and has a heavy foot on gas coz of the bad temper...

we are just about done a Neon and the damage is almost $1000 and it's thru ICBC...see if u want to settle it how many times u can fill up for even half of $1000?

doesn't worth it...
