Diffrence between -00 GT and -01 wrx?

Hi all..
Maybe a stupid question, but I'm new with subaru.
I'm buying a new car. It's either a 2000 model GT or a 2001 wrx both 218 HK versions.

What is the diffrence between those cars other than exterior?
What car is the best and why do you think that?
Can you feel any diffrence driving these cars on snow or rain?
Does both cars have 50 % power both in front and back weels

I hope you can take your time answering some of these question

the weight being the biggest differance and the fact that the 2000 is the GC8 and the 2001 Is the GDA

other than that most of us know nothing about the Euro spec versions. there might be a few people around here that have an idea though

Those cars a pretty evenly matched. They have very similar power outputs, they have the same Hp or PS figures, but the WRX one more ft-lb of torque at a peak which 400rpm lower. So, they have pretty close specs as far as that goes. They have identical gear ratios and both have an open front diff, and viscous center and rear diffs. I personally like the older Impreza body styling better then the GDA, so I would go with the GT. What would be even better is if you could find a GT with the Prodrive performance package on it.
