Whiteline ALK-110 plus shipping from ALTA Performance
My suspension set up-Whiteline tower bars f&r, KYB with Eibach Pro-kit and 4 STi tops. I've heard some other ppl didn't feel the instantanious respond after intalling the ALK. Hey, me just the oppisite; I felt the whole car chassis has been toughen, faster turn in and the whole car just sticks to the ground especially the front-ends. This is the area I've been waiting to improve since I bought my car. You know how sucks and scary the stock suspension when you're at higher speed turn in a curve and afraid of hitting a little bump. So I thought it's gonna better after I put on my current suspension but nope. There was still that lil' pull back-sayin' don't go! Well, ALK kills that!! Even my KYB setting at 1F/2R, my car is stiff as hell. It's liked driving a lowered Integra now. ![]() -Jun P.S-STi tops and a good set of ALK like Whiteline's should come equipped with all stock scoobies; they are the difference! Quote:
I second that again!

Have you or the ppl who have ridden in ur Subaru noticed the biggest difference between ur subbie and other cars are:
1.Strange steering when the road surface is just a little bit of uneven, you have to turn the steering wheel either side to make vehicle to go straight. 2.Feel unsafe when you're driving with the so call "sport tuned stock suspension" at higher speed, the vehicle is kinda floating and the scarier thing is when you hit a bump, doesn't matter it's big or small, you'll feel the front end of the car up in the air time is just a bit longer than other cars, plus the stupid stock RE92 tires. etc... O.K. STi top mounts would mostly cure the case on NO.1 and the ALK will definately positively eliminate the worryness on NO.2-your car would glue to the ground! I have to say, the ALK along with the ProECM chip are simply the best mods I've done with my scooby! Next would be the STi top mounts, and that's my hard earned 2cents! -Jun p.s-Tell you the truth, I was not satisfied and felt disappointed with the whole car's performance. I felt even my friend's stock civic could do better and some other minor stuff too! I just didn't have the confidence on my scooby. Unfortunately the modifications result of above was not included and that was what I expected when I drove my car out of the dealer's lot. But fortunately, I have my expectation and confidence back on my scooby now! ![]() Last edited by kasio; 12-07-2002 at 04:57 AM. |

the funny thing about the ALK is that it initially feels slower off the line, i thought about this-realizing of course that this couldn't be-and now i know that the reason must be that i was associating the amount of lift my butt-dyno was feeling with the acceleration! this variable now understood-my precision butt-power meter is back on track! the ALK is great!....but you will begin to develope a mental map of all the bumps on your daily commute.
