Default Got sent home from work today

I got sent home from work today because I made a mention of me not felling well. So my boss's boss (A Vice President) said "Go home, I dont want to get sick!" So, I played it off like I really wanted to stay. "No, I'm fine *hack hack* I have a lot of work to do *sniffle sniffle*." He said for me to take my work home with me and to come back when I feel better. I then went back to my office and the store manager stopped by to ask why I haven't left yet and that he wanted me to be out of the building by 11:30. He said if I did not listen to the Vice President he would be in trouble for not being able to control his store.

Oh well, Now I'm home doing what I do at work, looking at NASIOC, ha ha.

my friend had a boss like that.

but it was just because he was a complete germaphobe..
you'd sniffle your nose... he'd tell you to go home while running away from you.

I have a fever, and a bad respiratory infection.... got it from the cube dweller next to me, and I'm here at work (and so is the guy... who's 2 kids and wife have the flu). I don't come in contact with many people, fairly isolated... so al they have to do is listen to me cough up my lungs, hack, sneeze, and blow my nose evey minute or so.

Since he's already sick and he gave it to me... no harm in coming in. BUt sure as **** if I were the only one sick, I would have stayed home (like he should have in the 1st place). Problem is... he's a new hire and doesn't have the time in the books to take off. So *I* had to get sick becuase of it. (Just listened to him take some inhaled meds)

I got kicked out of work yesterday for the same reason. And they told me not to come back until I'm feeling better.

I haven't worked more than 40hrs in over a year. Plus I have a salary continuation program that allows for me to take sick days and not have them counted against my vacation time. I love family owned business!!

Daily vitamins (yes, I'm old) plus 2 glasses of OJ a day. Daily ritual... one when I leave for work one when I get home from work.
