Default I need help with RS-t, please (long)

So, I have a TEC2, legacy turbo setup walbro 255 etc.

Chronological problem list:

-Car had been bucking off and on so I went into the Monitor screen for the TEC2, and it said there was an intermittent fail on the EGO= O2 sensor. So Just to see I reprogrammed the Tec and it drove fine as good as ever, I figured it would fail again, but I have a spare O2. Car runs great.........

-Within the next day or so, I am driving hard in first, second and as soon as I hit third, the dash lights flashed and the car died. So I pull over thinking I need a tow and it starts right back up. But it does not feel the same. The top end is not there and it has that "not the same feeling." So I drive around my friend's neighborhood and we all agree it runs like crap (power wise), but it still runs smooth. So I park thinking it will be ok.

-Start it up a couple hours later and I leave the driveway, and when I get up the hill and hit the gas a bit it dies. (At this point I had the TEC2 monitor screen on and all sensors failed appropriately, and the communication was terminated.) So I roll it back to his driveway.

-When I go to work on it the next day, everything is still hooked up, exactly how it should be so I figure something might be wrong with the TEC, but no.

-When I turn the key ON the fuel pump doesn't pressure up nor does the CEL come on in the dash. So I swap out the fuel pump relay and the #11 fuse because I was not sure if it looked right, not fully blown out.

-Now the car runs, but just as crappy as before after it shut off while WOT in 3rd. "Feels different and has less power" and I am not sure if it will do the same fuse/relay blowing like before.

-I did a datalog on the run around after getting it running again and everything appears to be the same as normal. BUT it does not feel right!

WHAT could possibly be restricting my car at this point, everything is hooked up just like before, and why the hell did it turn off and blow the relay?

I know I might need to replace my O2 in the near future, but I can't see how it could be the reason for all of this fuss.

I know that my datalogging and time spent reviewing the data was brief, but overall the graphs look the same as before.

HEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPPP............................ .......

Bad ground is actually very likely.

scootr - you need to check the ignition coils are screwed tightly to the board, and that the board is screwed tightly/grounded to the chassis. If either of those ground points aren't 100%, you can experience strange and intermittent problems.

Where is your fuel pump relay powered from? The TEC or the ECU?

As for the feeling of less power, check your timing advance. If your crank magnetic pickup sensor came loose and moved a bit, you could have retarded timing across the map.

Check your plugs for signs of fouling and proper gap... stranger things have happened. Also, make sure (this sounds silly but I've seen it) your battery cables are secure and again, double check your grounds.

I have checked every ground a million times. The car runs decent, but it is missing that umph it had before. After doing more datalogging today, I see that all of the numbers are the same. My EGT's are the same, my fuel pressure is the same, everything LOOKS to be the same. I have a brand new rear o2 sensor that I am going to install tommorrow and see if it does anything. Otherwise I am still stumped.................

You say you re-programed the tec,did you save the xbin.file over existing file before you programed the tec? I've heard of "whacked" bin.files downloaded and having similar effects. Could be only at certain rpm, load, inj. duty (glitch). If you still can't come up w/ anything, call up electromotive to diagnose the problem.

I've also seen corrupt bin files screw up and cause the engine to run differently or not at all. The only solution is to go back to a previous bin or recreate the current bin from a NEW file.

The Tec2 internal connectors also tend to be brittle. Having had my coolent sensor connector go out INSIDE of the Tec. I've had to jury rig the car to run without one for a while.

So which O2 sensor is going out? The 4 wire for the Tec or one of the stock ones? Do you have your factory ECU wired in parallel with the Tec or is the Tec standalone??

I'd also perform a compression or leakdown test just for fun..

I have not tweaked a bin file, I just reloaded it. The file I run is the final dyno tuning file. I guess I could just try one of the previous files, and set it to what the old one was.

It is my stock rear o2, the only one hooked up. And yes my stock ECU is parallel.
