Default Wheels for Autocrossing WRX's

Hey All--

I picked up my 03 WRX before Thanksgiving. I'll be running it at ProSolo's and Solo II's next year, and I'm debating what to do for wheels. A second set of stock wheels is certainly great bang for the buck, but I'm wondering how wheel weights compare for the OEM's vs. aftermarket versions.

TIA,
Peter

OEM vs. aftermarket in stock size really is a non-issue. There isn't much available to us in OEM backspacing. Get an extra set of OEM wheels, they're light, strong, and can be found cheap. ($75/ea. for takeoffs @ Tire Rack)

I may see you out at the Peru events next season.

Better yet get some pre-02 oem rs wheels. There .5" wider and at 16lbs not that heavy. Throw some 45 series tires on them and your ready to tear it up.

Not legal for running in stock. You have to run wheels that are 16 x 6.5.

The JDM BBS are 16" x 6.5" but super expensive, like $2400 per set. Don't know the weight. www.japanparts.com has these listed on their website.
