Post Redline....?

hey guys i have a my99 rs i just got done racing with it a lil bit what happens when it gets to the redlinei went to about 6400 rpms then i shifted...i only did it like 2 times on accident? so will my engine like be dead soon or what?? oh ya i have an auto as well thanks for your input

Dont make a habit of it. If you do some painful downshifts in an auto, even some high RPM upshifts, you run the risk of screwing up your engine mounts. The engine shift because of the pressure.

In a fit today I bounced off the rev limiter in 2nd and 3rd (was I going that fast? hmm.)

Not something I recommend doing with the stock internals... they're not made to handle those extreme forces. But I bet they'll go a fair amount past the limiter without problems, just SOA being careful.
