Default the next BIG Central Florida meet!

Ok, I would love to get a big meet going. I know Christmas is coming up and all, so I was thinking sometime around the first of the new year. This way there is plenty of time to plan out what to do and set a date thats good for most everyone.

I'd like to get as many people as possible. The deland boys, myself, and allllll the orlando people (and anyone else willing to drive up/down to come hang out)

Lets get some ideas going as far as a place to meet and what we'll do. Should we do carting? Dinner? Something like Downey Park again? Give me some ideas here! I'd like to get as many people as were at the Ale house meet a little less than a year ago. think there was around 30 people there for that one. Seems like the orlando crew has broken off into groups. I'd like to get EVERYONE together. Alan, Adam, Meggan, Brad, etc. You know who you all are

So, like i said, any ideas you have please post here and we'll get something started

-Justin

downey park's speed bumps make baby jesus cry. they're like a curb bolted to the ground.

i haven't broken off into a group, i just always have something else going on!

keep in mind the weather is (hopefully) still nice in January, so we won't have to meet under the cover of darkness to have a meet. i dunno, i always thought the afternoon meets at the ale house were the best, since it's not crowded that time of day.

I really, really liked Downey Park, and if we could get enough people together to get a pavilion, I think it'd be really nice. I agree w/Adam about the speed bumps though, OMG...They made teh big red machine wanna scream!

Yeah, if we do a park meet, i suggest one other than downey park. It was a nice place, but GOOD GOD! those speed mountains were HORRIBLE! took me 20 mins to leave out of the park that day cuz there is one every 5 damn feet!

If its worth any of your mind, I always drive by the parkin lot at the Pet Supermarket / Home Depot (AREA MAP AT BOTTOM OF PAGE) at night and its completely empty and VERY well lit-up at night, it really does look like a good place to meet at night. If your coming from downtown on Colonial, its just past 436 on the right, with like a little lake area in front of it

Saturday night ill be driving around and if I cant find any Subies around im gonna go there and chill for a while, please anyone stop by.
Call 239-671-6207 if ya want to talk more about it or just EMAIL ME

I liked the Daytona meet we had a while ago. I'm just very Partial to the place, and will go there any chance I get!

I really want to get back together with you all, and show off my Stage IV BLUDEMN!

I'm up for around that time....... though that's when work really picks up.... so we'll have to see.

I suggest an Xmas Party, we can even do a $15 or less Secret Santa.

I'm up for it.

Daytona was fun.

Stadium? No...It's next to the fairgrounds. I attended a birthday there once. Really nice place...

Just watch out for the speeding frisbees

unfortunately i'm going to be taking off here shortly. I'm going up to IL on the 22nd and then to NY the 26th then back here on the 4th. I don't even want to think about delays and all that crap. good thing i have lots of techy geek toys to keep me distracted from all the crap. You guys will have to eventually see what I just did to the r/c car though. faster and lasts longer=fun for all. If I don't see any of you before i depart, have a great christmas/whatever you favor to celebrate.

Barnett Park is questionable - it is near the fairgrounds right near Pine Hills.

Well, if you guys don't wanna Secret Santa, let's at least do something Xmas Themed!! I don't want to do the same crap I do all year round. It gets old.

well, if we do a park meet, lets plan some things to do while there. Someone bring a football or something and we'll plan some other stuff too, IF we do a park meet.

keep the ideas coming

my experience with the i-club... do a restaurant meet... kinda sucks that race rock doesn't allow this type of event anymore... well at least they don't allow it to be planned, doesn't mean that we can't just all drive up there and eat... if not race rock, some restaurant along i-drive, or area.... that way its pretty much central for everyone and it is easy to find... and most out of town owners know of the area and could drop by if they please...
