Talking Subaru & Mistubishi: Grand Turismo for PS2 partly responsible for Sti/EVO US market?

....that's what Mistubishi seems to think about it. Anyway - the article made me laugh. I suppose I did own GT3 before I bought my WRX.

"There's no doubt that Gran Turismo played a huge role in our decision to launch the Lancer Evolution in the United States," said Takashi Kiuchi, a product relations official at Mitsubishi.

I got my GT3 and WRX in the same month. Which one came first, I don't remember

I would definitely not be surprised if this was the case.

The guy in the carport next to mine (Camaro Z28 convertible) always reminds me that he has one of my cars in his garage in GT3. If he didn't have GT3, he would probably not call my car a 'cool little car'.

The WRXs were in Gran Turismo 1 and 2 for the PS1 too. Personally, I already knew about the RS from some magazine before I got either of the first two GTs.
