All I can say is.....WOW! If you're worried about sound levels, this exhaust is NOT for you. It's LOUD. I, for one, love the sound. I haven't tried it with the silencer yet, but without it this exhaust is almost too loud. This is coming from someone who once owned a GSX with cams and 3" catless exhaust. I have the stock stereo, no sub upgrade or anything, and with this exhaust you need the stereo turned up to at least level 6 on the freeway, where before I had it at level 4. It seriously changes the whole personality of the car. You can feel the extra power, and it sounds like nothing else on the road, except maybe a Harley. I'm happy with it, but the neighbors aren't.

Dude, at first I was like wow, this might be too loud. I seriously felt my ears ringing a little after I would drive it for the first couple of days.

However, I wouldn't part with this thing for the life of me! It kicks A##! This is coming from a conservative third grade teacher!! It has this deep menacing sound at idle and at WOT, WOW!!!! Now I just need to prepare for all of the little ricers who are going to start messing with me.

In my opinion, if you want something that sounds great, looks BEAUTIFUL,gives a nice performance gain then go for it!!!

If you like peaceful drives through the forest, romantic weekend get aways, and don't want to set off any car alarms... this exhaust is not for you.

I just got back from a road trip from texas to minnesota. For obvious reasons, I installed the silencer. It's seriously like having two exhausts in one, the difference in sound levels is HUGE! It's not much louder than stock at idle and cruising speeds with the silencer installed. I'm very impressed.

P.S. It's not ricey at all, very deep rumble.

yep, i use it too. it felt loud at first, but i got use to it. the silencer
is good to have in stop/go traffic (can use that additional low-end
torque). it a nice rumble.

overall, i am very happy with my purchase (since June?) and
will not part with mine. has one of the best performance
gains too vs other catbacks. its lightweight too.

I agree with hollywoood pete about the silencer. It is almost like a completely different exhaust, almost too quiet for my taste. For long road trips though, it is probably the way to go. ( you can actually talk to anyone in your back seat .

Also, the exhaust is definitely not "ricey" at all. Very deep rumble at idle and a very aggressive roar at WOT.

Oh yeah, fitment is also awesome, bolted mine right up ,by myself, in 45 minutes. Did I mention this thing is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Yeah, my silencer rattles too. I heard of some other dude having a muffler shop drill another hole in the tip so there were two screws holding it instead of one, but I'm too worried about someone jacking it up in the process.

dohhh!! dont drill another hole. just turn the silencer a tad
so that it locks itself to the side of the pipe as you torque down
the screw.

no rattling on mine when i used it. it does rattle if you dont
do this.

How much different is the Nur Spec from Apex'i GT spec? They look almost the same, and the price is same too @ Gruppe-S. What do you guys suggest? GT spec or Nur spec?

Default oh my god this thing is loud!!!

i'm catless with nur spec r.

i used to drive through parking lots and numerous car alarms would go off! this is a blast!

i was pulled over twice! and given tickets...i popped in the silencer, went to police stations, and got ticket signed off! popped the silencer out...

my fiance' would not ride in the car!

this is the loudest exhaust i or any one i know has ever heard, even the kakimoto titanium and 1oz.

my car sounded like a top fuel dragster combined with wrc car.

i loved every minute of it, even though i sometimes wore earplugs!

since i installed maxim works headers the exhaust note is more uniform (unfortunately more raspy - wrc only) and much more quiet....my car is quicker, but i miss pissing off the muscle car guys because my car sounded so damn awesome!!!

I just ordered the Nur-Spec for my MY01 2.5RS. It's not the Racing (cat-back) but will it still sound good? I don't know much about my car cuz I just got it, I'm kindof still learning. Should I get a mid-pipe, up/down pipe? What should I do to get the most out of my cars exhaust? I haven't done much to it cuz of $$. An AEM intake but thats it. Thanks in advance.

This review was posted earlier somewhere, but I can't find the thread, so I'm putting the link directly on here.

http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/0212tur_exhaust/

Great review of 12 exhaust systems (YES, count em, 12) tested in a span of eleven hours. Not all of the exhaust systems are in there, but a good number of popular ones are. Hope this helps anybody out in deciding what exhaust to get. BTW, the Blitz Nur Spec Racing seems to give the most HP and Torque of the 12 (It is also one of the loudest)

BWAHAHAHA!!! i still have the giggles! this exhaust is by far the best exhaust i have ever bought, seen, or heard!!! got mine, bolted in on by myself in about an hour and whoo hooo!!!

hate to say it, but i haven't noticed much of a HP gain though. then again, i haven't had too much time to get used to the rex yet. only have around 5000 miles on her.

if anyone gets this exhaust, expect some looks and coments about it! about 2 hours after i got the exhaust on, i went to wal-mart. i pulled into wal-mart parking lot, and this fixed up mustang pulls out of a parking spot in front of me, so i pull in to that spot. these two guys in the spot next to me were looking at the mustang as it was leaving, but after it got out of eyeshot, they looked at my car's back end. then i could see one of the guys point at my exhaust and i think he mouthed the words, "dude, it's this car!" i got out of my car and the guys were looking at my car (exhaust) with their mouths open! looked like they wanted to say something, but i guess they were shy or something... hehe

I LOVE THIS EXHAUST!!!
