Unhappy wierd noise over 130mph

I have noticed a wierd noise coming from the drivers side at around 130 mph. It isn't a gradual noise, it just comes on. It sounds like the beep from the "emergency broadcast system". I was just wondering if this is some kind of warning tone, or if my car sucks. I've never seemed to notice this sound in the past.

It's the space between your side view mirror and the mirror mount whistling. Stick a piece of foam in it to shut it up.

Default windows?

i was told it was the windows being sucked off the molding due to the fact that we have framless doors. the speed of the air creates a vacum, sucking the windows out.

or atleast thats what i got out of a post about a week ago bout this same thing.

I really wish the mods would get together and make stickies, update FAQs etc, especially for the questions that are asked over 100 times.

The passenger side mirror whistles. It is known. You can fold it in and check for protection plastic left over from the dealer, fold it in and out and see if it goes away, stick a piece of foam in it, put thick black tape over the cracks, custom order a rally mirror from Japan, or just use it to scare folks that you pass or your passengers.
I don't think you can suck out your windows until the pressure difference between the cabin and the exterior is pretty huge. Maybe around 200mph?

Keep on the gas, the noise will go away when you bury the spedo past 140...

Just think of it as a way to keep you on your toes when your nearly doubling the speed limit.

I usually get that at EXACTLY 100MPH. (sorta like my warning ) Sounds like its coming off the antenna or up by the roof rack...

Just my $.02

I get that noise too. I will try that foam deal. It's good to know someone has figured it out. I posted about this a few months ago.

I've found the fix!

I noticed if my car starts making noise around 130mph, I just drink some beers and it goes away.

If you can hear it, your radio isn't loud enough.

Default tape did it? Like.... where?

I get this noise at 127mph under certain atomospheric conditions (dunno what yet though )

So.... where did you put the tape on the mirror?? !!

Thanks
