Default what headers work w/ the phase i 2.2l?

I'm trying to find some headers for my 96 2.2L, but I'm not sure if anything out there will fit. I asked Renick about the Borla 2.2 headers but he wasn't sure if they'd fit up. (He said something about the exhaust being in a different place).

Dual or single port exhaust? I believe you could use the 2.5l headers if you have dual port, but I might be mistaken. I have the 2.2l borla's on my single port engine and I like them.

Header side, yes 2.5 headers are perfect for dual port. The other end is up to you though.

We've got single port my friend, the 98-2001 2.2 is dual.
So no one makes one for us, I looked into fabricating some at my exhaust shop they quoted me for $200 2.5 to 2.25, but I just decided to go turbo instead

Bry- are you sure ALL 98-01 2.2 "L" 's are dual? i was under the car a few weeks back looking and i swear mine were single port...(2001 impreza"L") i could be wrong though, i'll have to check again....i am also in the market for headers...i found single port Borla Headers at spomotorsport for $300...when i talked with them on the phone he said to physiclly go under the car and look, so i did'nt order the wrong ones, cause they carry both single and dual port for the impreza....

Awesome, I'm glad when I'm wrong in an instance like this! I hope the single port doesn't have the Check Engine light the other Borla headers have.
