Exclamation new SM min. weight

I just read in the new Sports Car mag. that the 3.0L & under forced induction AWD minimum wieght will be 2300lbs

Now I need to figure out how to drop another 300lbs and stay legal

and all you WRX people thought it was going to be hard to get to 2600lbs.....

His car is FWD and 1.8L...not that it'd stand much of a chance in SM. Alan I don't know if you read but Gary Meissmer (think old Celica GT turbo that is really fast) is leaving the area so that's one less top SM guy. I believe the Noble's were also selling their SM car. I'm just shooting to make the car under 2900lbs. The top SM cars in the US are generally heavier car with a ton of HP.

Nope, I'm AWD. And I meant close to 2000lbs and still AWD I think I could get close....

Anyhow, I would shoot for SM2 anyway since it is less competitive, and I wouldnt run with a 1.8l.

I just heard that last night...one less person in front of me, but Gary was a nice guy
As for the Nobles...there car should have been much faster than it was. I think with tuning (what an idea, tune my car) and race tires I could catch them.

My car is about 2700lbs right now, I might be able to drop 100lbs, not spend alot on titanium parts and stay legal.

O, I almost forgot...I could lose an extra 1lb if I take the back seat out
