Post Driving School

Talk to Cliff at autox this morning, we have about 6-7 imprezas signed up for the driving school. And probably not many seats left, so if you want to go, email him.

And for the autoX today, I started the first 3 run in a Echo, then jumped back to the RS, I shaved almost 10sec. Compare to the others, I still need to improve 3 more sec., but for a guy that didn't have any sleep the night before, what else can I expect.

Also, I'm happy to see that Kevin and Aston dropped by. We chat for more than an hour. So hope to see more people coming to the autoX next time. You don't have to autoX, just came in and take a look. We are happy to see that.

Fred

First time I actually saw an RS actually on a closed circuit. It was pretty cool. I am also amazed at Fred to still have energy to drive after not having much sleep the day before. Like Fred said, it is a good opportunity to better your driving skills by signing up for the class session. At least this is legal and fun; most of all, we're gonna be taught by a professional.

Question

I've signed up for the school. Looking forward to it.

Is there a site that details how they classify the cars and what mods are allowed in each class?

Does changing the rear sway bar push you out of the stock class into a catagory with fully modified cars?

Do they keep the course layout the same? If they do run times would be a good way of quantifying each handling modification.

They change the course setup at every event so you won't be able to judge handling mods on your times.
Not sure if there's any sites with the CACC rules posted, maybe try a search? I don know the RS runs in G-Stock. There's several different classes after stock, Super Stock, Street Prepared and Modified so you don't have to worry about being totally out gunned. Not sure if the sway bar will bump you to super stock, I think you're allowed 1 'prep point' in stock but not sure how many points a swaybar is worth since I don't have a copy of this year's rules yet.
