haha, are you kidding?! no way!!!! there's a TON of stuff, just gotta look around. you can go as simple as a k&n air filter, or a whole new cold air intake....you could turbo it if you wanted, exhuast, etc etc. There's really nothing you can do on an RS that you can't on that. Anything's possible!

Well, anything short of a swap or turbo isn't going to make you not slow. If finances allow it put in a EJ25(still not fast) or an EJ20T from a US WRX or JDM WRX. I wouldn't really turbo the 1.8, but that's just me. You can try a USDM Legacy turbo too which are very inexpensive and strong.

i was considering either the ej25 or ej20t but as of right now i wouldn't be able to afford either engine yet. also i have looked around for headers and exhaust systems and i was wondering if the systems for the RS would bolt up to mine?

If your 1.8 happenes to have dual exhaust ports then headers for a 2.5 will bolt right up as will all exhausts for a 2.5rs. Heres a good idea too. Look for a used legacy turbo (91-94). They can go for as low as...well...the one thats for sale in the Legacy forum ($2500). The engine code is EJ22T. If it sounds familiar its becuz its a big(ger) WRX engine. These engines can be tuned to over 400 hp with simple common sense mods I hear (up and down pipes, exhaust, intake, bov, boost controller, intercooler, bigger turbo...Most WRX parts fit). Only problem is finding a tranny and diffs to harness the power.

i have a 95 L too....

I plan on turboing the 1.8 for now, and when i blow that up, i plan on throwing an ej22 in there.
