Default HID Help?

I have searched for an answer to my problem, but have been unable to find an exact fix, so please help. I have morettes with HID`s. I have the ballast grounded to the chassis, and the + side conected to the + lowbeam side of the relay, like i believe it is supposed to be. When i turn the car on they will both start right up, however if i turn them off then back on, the left one will not always come on. However if i wait like 15 seconds both will almost always come on.... I am not sure what i can change? any help would be great.
Thanks
Dee

If you do a username search for " mulder" you may be able to figure out the problem . He is sort of the HID guru here , and an all around nice guy.

The positive side of the ballast should be connected to the common +12 headlight power (one of the three wires on the original headlight connector). You can easily identify the correct wire with a meter or test light, or by color code if you have the wiring manual. If you have it connected to something else that is your problem.

OK well i will give that a try, i was under the impression the it was best to run the 12 volt common thru a relay then to the ballast?? i will try and see what happens by running it straight out of the three prong stock connector, minus the relay. I will get back to you as soon as i check it out.
thanks for your help!

You did disconnect the DRL's before installing the HID's, didn't you?

Yes, i removed the clip from under the glovebox. i think my problem is more of a property of the hid`s. they dont like to be shut off then restarted over and over. They will always start if i wait like 15-20 seconds between startup, or on the first try if the car has been sitting. . Thanks for your help
happy new year
Dee
