Default Whiteline rear diff support (KSB751) - help!

I just installed this the other day and I have some very strange noises and rattles now after the install. On deceleration there is a rattle, at about 1800RPM there is a huge exhaust resonance that wasn't there before, and a few more tidbits of sounds that scare the crap out of me. I was wondering if I even installed these things right.

Looking at the instructions here:
Clickme for PDF
I dont seem to have the same thing as what is pictured. Looking at the picture below, I dont have that top black bushing that goes over the whiteline bushing.

Also, the bushings just seem to be spacers and it doesn't exactly fit within the rear diff support. But in the picture, it looks like it fits within the rear diff support mount.

Any idea's guys/gals?

Default noise

i have not installed them yet but the noise almost sounds like the noise the clutch makes under decelleration. do a search for clutch noise and you will see what i'm talking about. I could be wrong. Hey by the way were did you get the mounts and how much were they?

Well I can't believe it would be clutch noise as the sound started after the installation of the bushings. On top of that, the sound comes from right behind me.

As for where I bought them, I got em at MPJ Performance from Mike. He is highly recommended as a vendor!

I have a set installed on my WRX, and I have also helped install another set on a member's car, and there's no issue.

You should receive 6 rings. On the WRX, you use only 4, -01 cars you use all 6. And you don't take anything out of the car. The spaces simply fill the gap in the bushings.

The lower ring looks a little "crushed" by the subframe mounting plate, but so far no problem has arised from it.

Thank you Ray for responding

You are correct in that you only use 4 of the 6 bushings for the new age WRX. The two smaller ones are not used, which I did not BTW.

Aside from the noises... What did you do with the metal plate that is on the top side of the mount? I put it on top above the bushing. But perhaps the bushing goes on top over the metal plate?

Also why is it that the car looks nothing like the picture in the manual for installation? That is what is throwing me off enough to think I installed it wrong.

I have these on my car and no problems..use four of the six bushings. not the small thick one for 2002 up. The metal plate goes on top of the bushing on top and the thin one goes btw the metal plate on the bottom..done these on two cars and no problems..and makes a difference. it will translate some more noise though

Well I guess I installed them correctly then. I just didn't imagine that I would have gotten that much more NVH from just these alone.

Thank you everyone.

Question

Hey guys, this is slightly off topic but... Does anyone know the inside diameters of the two spacers? I know they are 10mm and 4mm thick, but I want to see what will happen with el cheapo hardware store washero. All in the name of science.
