I need tips for dating a girl of average/below average intelligence

So there was this very attractive woman I met on a sports team. The first time I saw her I thought, I've got to talk to her. Well I couldn't think of anything to say, but to my surprise she started emailing me. We had a terrible email correspondence, she'd just respond with a sentence to whatever I wrote and I couldn't get her interested in anything I said, but I went against my instinct and asked her out to a meal. We went to dinner, and I looked at it as a challenge to see if I could have a passable date. We did, because I just had her talk about herself. Yet I still couldn't figure out what her interests were.

So I thought I would go for a second date, but the phone conversations are just painful, and although she said she'd go out again, I'm not sure she will, she's put it off till at least next weekend. And no email until after New Years.

My question: how do you go out with a girl you can't talk to because she doesn't seem to have anything to say, doesn't seem to have interests, and whom you don't appear to have things in common with? Although I'm a big fan of hiding my hand, I'm thinking flattery at this point. I suppose this is really pointless, but I just was hoping to pass the time...

I'd say it's not worth it. If you just want to have some fun, yeah. But if you're looking for a serious relationship... just think of what the next 30~ years will be like with that.

After awhile the looks don't matter...

Bachelor Hell is what was formerly known as Silicon Valley... since all the dot coms and a lot of the techs dried up it's just Bachelor Hell. Some estimate 5 single guys for every single girl.

I'm a little worried about making her fall for me, as there's another girl who's coming back from vacation that I really am into. But I don't think there's that much of a chance, it seems more likely she's too scared to say she's not interested and is just trying to say it by putting off seeing me again.

It's painfully obvious what the deal is here. You're just attracted to her physically, plain and simple. You obviously have nothing in common, or at least don't seem to. You just want to see her naked and then find out if she's cool to hang with. Which in itself has nothing wrong with it, you're a guy. Face it pal, she's not into you, forget about her ASAP. Unless you can show her you have money, power or fame, this will lead you nowhere.

this is also my personal opinion. nothing from your description gives me an indication of her level of intelligence. i think she's just not interested and for some reason is not bold enough to say no, or she just wanted a free meal.
