Question popcorn in the vents?

not sure where else to put this, so here goes:

my MY00 RS is making a really funny noise when i turn the fan on - it gets louder when fan speed is increased (i.e., setting 2, 3, 4). basically is sounds like there's a bunch of un-popped popcorn in there, just swirling around... and when i go around corners with the fan on, it sounds like a whole pile of popcorn seeds just sliding from side to side.

anybody ever experience a problem like this before? or, can you shed some light as to where i might begin to find out what the noise is or clean it out?

baffled,

peter

Leaves and crap in the cowl?? It only happens when you turn on the fan right?? Yup leaves and crap is what I'd say IMO Give your baby a good washing and reach in there and pick all that crap out by hand or with compressed air!! If it's in there good and deep though you're in for more trouble

well, it sounds like it's coming from right behind the glovebox... so it will be a PITA to get to, that's for sure.

there's leaves in the blower wheel, pretty common, should be thru screws to get to from under neath...drop it down and empty the leaves out keeep your wiper cowl more clear from debris as that is the air intake for the ventilation system.

I've got a Homie in my passenger side vent. My friend was playing with the Homie he got @ Taco Bell from the gumball machine and he dropped it in there...now he's just chillin' in my car.
