I love the look of a black car with black wheels with the polished lip. Very tough looking. That's what I am going for if I can find wheels. I have been having a hard time finding wheels wider than 8" in a 17 for my '06.

There are some 9" wide wheels discussed in the wide tire thread here (post 463). I believe the Fn01r-cs by 5Zigen comes in black with polished lip. And there is a special edition of the CE28ns called the LE28ns that comes in black with silver lip (I have the 18"x8.5" LE28ns - suweet)

yup. Thanks. the le28n's aren't available in 17. And the fn01rc's are not in stock anywere in 17x9 (in hyperblack), plus they don't yet make 17x9 black polish in the 43 offset.

I actually wrote a note to 5zigen asking if they'd have them available anytime soon.

its completely plug and play. you just need a 5/32 socket wrench or 8mm if you have metric. Theres like 4 screws in the back per tailight and thats it. If/when you get around to doing it. PM me if you got questions or anything...its really pretty easy. It was FREEZING COLD outside when we did it, but when it gets nice and warm, it would prolly take 15 minutes

I painted the original ones, you have to use plastic primer then normal primer, colour coat (colour matched paint), then 3 coats of clear over the top, then wet/dry sand back (1500 grade paper) and polish.

I was qouted a price on the STi carbon fibre versions for $90 AUD, so too pricey for this little black duck, plus they had STi written on them and as I dont have an STi its a bit ricey IMHO.

Enjoy them taillights. I think the '06 style looks good on white, silver, or light gray. But for a black Impreza, the '04-'05 style rocks. I'm looking to trade myself.
