Default Sparco 4pt harness?

I'm guessing this is the best place to ask this....

I purchased a Sparco 4 pt harness to help me control the car better in auto-x. However when I tried to install it, I couldn't.

I was trying to use the front seat bracket bolts(rear) for the lap belt. And the rear seat belt anchors(female end) as the shoulder mount point. Both bolts were to short to accomidate the harness along with the existing stuff it was already holding down. The Sparco harness does come with bolts, but those are too big for the seat belt bolts.

What did everyone use to get their harness installed other then putting in a harness bar?

Worse comes to worse, I'm just going to find some metric grade 8 hardware and replace the factory bolts with longer ones.

www.northursalia.com has a good how-to on installing a harness. It's under the Interior Mods section. They show the hardware they used too, if I remember.

Thank you so much for the link

Unfortunately the supplied Sparco bolts are larger then the factory holes. Looks like I'm going to have to go hunting for grade 8 or higher metric bolts.
