When will SWRT use the new WRX body style?

Will it be brought in Mid-season like Mitsu did and will it pi$$ Tommi off?

You will see that body at the monte carlo rally. They have the car now and have been testing it before the end of last season.

The reason I asked was because on the www.wrc.com they have a picture next to the Solberg article and it showed the old car.

and very likely subaru team usa will be using the new model as well.... when... that's unsure.. but it's coming...

be awesome if they had it at Sno*Drift....

Subaru didn't bring out the new body style WRX in 2001 until mid-season (Cherokee Trails?) since the cars just weren't ready yet. I know Hyundai didn't unveil their new car in 2002 until Cherokee Trails. Remember the New Age Impreza was first unveiled in Oct 2000 but weren't available for sale in the US until sometime around Apr 2001. They can't build the cars until they actually HAVE a car to build, and they probably don't have a car yet.

Subaru Rally Team USA is not really all that high on the totem pole from a world-wide perspective. The WRC guys will have their car long before the US team does. So, I'd say it's a crap shoot as to whether the new cars show up at Sno*Drift.
