Post Blown MAF!?! Need help fast!-Thanks

I think I have a blown MAF (MY99) . When I start the car it idles for a few seconds then dies. If I unplug the MAF wire it idles fine albeit a bit rough and around 900 rpm.
Heres the question: can I drive the car 20 miles to the shop to get it looked at or do I need a tow truck?

You can limp it, I know someone who limped it for about 120 km and didn't have a problem.

It'll run, it just won't run well.

dude are you serious?? damb well try doing a search in tha private classifieds for xtreme2.5RS he has a maf for sale i think. man when did this happen? i would use a flatbed rather than risk limping it.

xtreme2.5RS's MAF is for MY98's no MY99's. Dave, that totally sucks. Sounds like the rallyX was just too much for that fragile POS! Just curious, I know JCS uses MAF brackets on their turbo kits, is it possible that they forgot to put it on yours? Anyhow, be ready to shell out $300+ for a new MAF, NO WAY will they warranty it with your turbo.
