Autospeed shifter trim (MT) & dead pedal

i received my autospeed aliminum shifter trim (MT) and "WRX"
dead pedal.

1. Dead pedal: fits perfectly and improves grip on your shoes.
I like it a lot.

finish is very good.

note: when you're about to put back the plug clip thingie to
mount the deadpedal, be sure to be easy on that clip.
I pushed mine a little too hard with my thumb and it cracked.

its not to a point it would not mount the pedal, but...
humm...

2. Shifter trim: i see why the Sti one is casted. the shifter trim
needs to contour with the console...console top is not
totally flat.
(im assuming that the STI one is contoured)

Since the autospeed trim is completely flat, I took a small
mallet and gently bent the trim to match the contour of the
console. it made a less of a burden on the self-tapping
screws that they supply. I kinda worried that it would begin
to pop out on its own in the summer time.

fit: nnn, not J-quality fitment, but acceptable.
finish: very hand made look. maybe they sent me a
handmade mockup???

Overall, pretty good....at least i dont have the STI logo
on there.

Ok, so I am not crazy. My console is not all flat. Ty for idea.

I've had my shifter trim on for about a year now with no problems. I love the way it looks. I also got the momo shifter knob...I think they work well toghter. It looks like it came stock on the car. I also had to bend it match the contor of the console...I just put the shifter trim on my leg and pushed hard
