Default stomung ? yes another

im thiking of getting one of the axlebacks(single or dual) the problem i have is i live in new york and when the weather gets bad they throw down salt and crap. i want the muffler but i dont want to get one every1yr or 2. i have a full catback now(apex n-1) with no problems but the can attracks the wrong people(cops, retards trying to race that kind of thing) so i just need someone to point me in the right direction. im also only getting an axle back because i was told the full system only adds another 2hp anyway. lets face it the exhaust is really only a visual/sound mod for the my99rs. thanks ahead for the advice

Get the SS Stromung, not the steel. I had a steel one and it rusted from the inside out in less than 2 years. I have an SS one now and it's as good as the day I got it. Search our site and you can see pics and I even have some sound clips. I love the sound

save your dosh... get a genric highflow muffler from your local exhaust shop, they should have pleanty of nice tips to weld on too/
it'll rust in no time flat. Quite a few people have had less than impressive results w/ the stainless varities.

Even here in Phoenix I have some surface rust on the welds of my Steel Stromung. Definetly get the SS

Here is a link to more info on the stromung, there is also a soundbite there too (or a link to one)

Here is a pic of my mild steel one after less than 2 years. We get very little snow here this has rusted out from the inside. I don't take short trips either. What I ended up doing before I got the SS one was drilling a small weep hole at the back of the muffler. Something I think they should have done in the first place. I think moisture gets trapped in there at that spot.
