Spray some carb cleaner through the downpipe before you install it. Mine had residual metal shavings and oil in it. It's probably no big deal since you're going catless, but I didn't want those metal shavings going through my cat. I've been very happy with my TXS stealthback system.

What muffler did u combine with the stealthback? Or did u use the stock rear section? Are the power gains noticeable? Sound?

I have the high flow cat installed and I still have the stock muffler. I now get full boost in 3rd gear at about 3000 rpm compared to 3200 when stock (as per my pocketlogger). Gas mileage has improved by a little over 1 mpg in the city. The car pulls noticeably harder above 5500 rpm. Sound is slightly more coarse (for lack of a better word), but is is only really noticeable from behind the car, not inside. I did wrap my downpipe which is supposed to reduce noise somewhat.

I wrapped it with thermo-tec wrap. I've been happy with it so far (it's been on the car for over a year now). If I had it to do over again, I'd also consider Jet-Hot or something similar, but for the price and ease, it's hard to beat the wrap.

here's on of several threads on the subject. Note the pics in the thread show the downpipe wrapped only 1/2 way down. I wrapped mine all the way.

I just received a Stealthback kit yesterday, and I agree completely with all of davenow's sentiments... it is really beautiful and massive!! The welds are really clean. I'm so stoked to install it this weekend!

There seem to be a slight loss in the low end. However, once I installed a catless up-pipe, things were good. The turboback and up-pipe really complement each other.

I was thinking about getting their Stealthback and axle back exhaust (with cat). Seeing everyones impression of the quality and performance is helping me finalize my decision.

Do you know if the stealthback will mount up to the Blitz Nur Spec axel back? That's the set-up I'm looking at.

I agree, that's what I'm looking at right now, with a stock, but gutted, uppipe. A friend of mine has a similar setup and his car is way faster than mine (stock drivetrain).

I got mine put on yesterday. What a difference it makes to the car. The exhaust note is beatiful. I just have this whistle noise that I hear rather well, but Ive been told its just the turbo. Is this true with everyones? Or do I have a leak?
