Talking New and improved and AFC tuned !

First of all, many many thanks to Alex (NotoriousWRX) for installing my S-AFC ...(twice) and taking his time out to help me! I cant thank you enough Alex.
So then off to BMTranny it was for my AFC tuning, and thanks to JR at BM for the excellent tuning.

To sum it up, i ended up w/241HP and 241TQ... and on a very flat a/f line....
my previous #s were 230HP and 223TQ...

but the biggest change was how the tq curve just got pushed down the rpms... and it holds for longer too...
so now i have more TQ sooner and longer...

As long as you learned, I am happy.

Just make sure you never forget what you learned.

11 WHP and 18 wtq is a nice gain for some cheap tuning.

What management were you using before, and what mods do you have? That last time we were all at BMTranny, I dynoed at 200 whp, then my second pull was at 230 whp after some button presses on my SFC. I didn't feel like they did the most thorough job, but hey, 30 hp.

Me:
Field SFC
15.5 psi MBC
full 3" M2 turboback
Godspeed uppipe
drop in K&N, removed silencer

Hasan, nice results! You'll be in the 12s the next time you get to the track.

Rindinho, 30 hp is great for just just some AF tuning. Don't be mistaken though, a lot of people are impressed by high peak numbers, when in fact that is not the most important result of tuning. I'd take a few less peak hp or ft/lbs, if instead I can have the improvement sooner and longer in the RPM range.

My dyno before wuz w/these mods:
turboxs h-rfl bov
AEM cai
HKS carbon-ti exhaust
Godspeed Up/downpipe
Samco intercooler hoses
15.5-16psi mbc

The only management i had were my right & left feet

The only addition this time was the S-AFC and the replacemetn of my mbc with a Greddy Profec-b.

i thought i would have a little more peak power, but hey, like Alex said, i get more power & torque sooner and longer now so that counts more then peak #s no doubt.

why the hell cant e-town be open now, i need to run!!!!! i'm planning on making a few gtech runs sometime this week, and yes the gtech is very accurate. When i used it at the track while i ran, it wuz off by .1 or .2 which isnt bad.

Ill post results as they come to me

Officials are idiots, non-helpful, and ignorant. The track is poorly kept, and the waterbox is mandatory. Not to mention, its a FAR drive!

the water box is not mandatory, you can drive around it, its just a tight squeeze, and you may get a bit of water on tires...

the track is pretty crappy, but its good cause its 12 bucks for as many runs as you can fit in.

e-town is a nice track, but you usually only get 3 runs for 20 bucks, and the wait inbetween runs is insane!!

Yep, water box is not mandatory. They are only open on Sundays for the next few months, but that's better than nothing if you're going through drag racing withdrawal. They charge $15 and you can probably get 5-6 runs within 3 hours if you can avoid the potholes as you go down the track.

The correct website is www.atcorace.com
