What I was looking for was:
Was it worth it?
Where did you stay?
How much did it cost?
What would you see if you went again?

That sort of stuff.

I thought It was worth it! but it was my first WRC event so I have nothing to base it on.

We stayed in a town called Zewen it was about 1 1/2 miles down river from Trier it was pritty cool dont exatly remember how much it cost.

On Leg 1 spectator aera 5 was just incredible you had a clear view of about 5 hairpins

Leg 2 all I can say is "GINA" the Gina crest was on the Panzerplatte stages, you stand about 15feet away from airborne rally cars is was just about the coolest thing I have ever seen!

Leg 3 spectator spot 24 its an ok spot but the neat thing is that when you leave you get to ride a bobsled down the mountain

Tickets for all three legs was $65 for the TOP FAN package

It was a really good time and I would recomend it. The key to having a good time is to get up really early and get to the stages at least 2 hours early, bring a coller, a GoreTex Jacket and a Chair(wich we did not have and regret) oh and you have to have a car, we rented one(the price was compairable to here, except for gas OUCH!!! $1.34 a liter) and had a blast crusing down the autobahn at 115 mph. All I can say is do it!!!! you wont regret it.

Go! Its a wonderful experience. Germany is cheep by euro standards. We stayed in burncastle, just north of trier, its so amazing it stands on its own as a wonder, rally or not. Go early, Trier is wonderful, have time for exploring the Roman ruins throughout the area; see Luxemburg, its close. The trick, if you have time, is to arrive several days early, get a schedule and scout the stages. You need to decide on which split is best for what you want to see, place yourself there early and dont try to make all the stages, stagger them, or better, choose two per day separated by a good amount of time ( unless you rent bikes [ read: motorcycles]). If you have several days advance on the rally, there are some good spots I can point you too, however, they require you arrive early and park in a small village and hike a mile or two to the road side; the marshals are not finicky so you can sit at these isolated spots and get great viewing of the hair pins and jumps, the military base withstanding ( spectator only there ). Supper special you need to be to early, the only real good turn is the grand stand, jump on top of one of the porta'potties, they wont boot you, but if you wait too long the spots will be toast -or- get a VIP and hit the stands -or- go REALLY early and take a picnic bench next to track in the food area, you can stand on them once the open class and supper 16 finish and get all the works car action ( the open class kicks ass here, they do all kinda' crazy donuts and squirely ass action just for your entertainment).

pop me a mail or PM if you want leads on where to stay and otherwise...

(I'll be there too)

Thanks for the info, guys. If I actually go, I'll be sure to PM you two for more details.

If I'm really lucky, I won't be able to afford to go (hehe!)
