I own a MY99 and unfortunaly i have the damn MAS. If you have a S-AFC do you think i would be possible to get rid of the MAS and just use a O2 sensor or something??? Similar to the BLUE WIRE MOD just a little different

Are you saying you want to replace the mass airflow sensor with an EGT? You don't expect to give the ECU exhaust gas temp and have it determine how much air is flowing into the engine, do you?

Oh, okay. Well, you could go to a MAP sensor, but the only really effective way to do that (that I know of) is to get a TEC-II or similar standalone/parallel ECU. Vishnu sells an NA-oriented kit for like $1800 I think...

Has anyone tried to make a HKS VPC work on an Impreza 2.5? It eliminates the MAF on a Supra, i wonder if it would work for us.

MY00 an newer dont have a MAF. They have a MAP. It is a differnt type of sensor. You could theoretically get an ECU from a MY00+ and swap it along with the sensor. Not really sure if that would work or not.

Sure it would work. If you can find an engine harness adapter, or like soldering wires!

if we can easily re-program the stock ECU like that, we have no need for any aftermarket piggypack or stand-alone computers, do we?
![]() on the other hand, i don't know if you can replace the whole MAF + MY99 ECU with a MAP + MY00/01 ECU tho |
