Default 2003 Mitsubishi SCCA ProRally Announcement

Quote:
D. Higgins and O`Sullivan to lead Mitsubishi Rally Team.

Mitsubishi Motors North America announced their SCCA ProRally Drivers line-up today for the 2003 season. The two Open Class car team will house last years Overall and Open Class Drivers Champion David Higgins, with the second Open Class car to be driven by the last year Group 2 driver and previous Mitsubishi driver, Lauchlin O’Sullivan. Co-Drivers for the team will include Mark Williams, who will be navigating for Lauchlin and Daniel Barritt who will be with David. Lance Smith of Vermont Sportscar will be joining the team and acting as the event manager and logistics coordinator.

The announcement also gave limited detail to the addition of the Ralliart North America division to the Mitsubishi family. Ralliart Rally Support is on tap to supply event and technical support to the 2003 Rally team. A formal press release with details on support and team schedule is expected shortly.
Since Lance Smith is joining the team as "event manager" and "logistics coordinator" I wonder if that means that Vermont Sportscar is going to be doing the preparation/maintence on the factory team.

I think It's gonna be a good year in SCCA.
