I'd think with an aggressive enough driver maybe even high 12's. Oh man this is sweet!

Have a Nice Day?

realistically, I'm guess low 5s for 0-60 and maybe high 12s if not low 13s for the quarter. Again, it will be fast enough - maybe not for the drag strip, but definitely for the streets.

I'm thinking "sleep under the car with a riot gun, cause the Forces of Evil want to take your car to Singapore" fast

pretty damn fast

the new STI was on car and driver over the weekend and they said it only ran a 14.0 highly unlikely I bet it would run mid 13's at least but they have the car and I don't did anyone else see this on T.V.?

That was the 2.0 265 hp version, no one has tested this one yet.

Using GT3 400m test as predicter, I say at least 13.58 in 1/4 mile.
But, believe it will be faster. GT3 is the most scientific predicter I could use a 2 in the morning.

the new JDM STi was slower then the stardard WRX zero-60 due to the amount of shifting you must do, but it just RAN on the top.

Just remember the Spec C does 12s flat on 0-400m (¼ mile). With more torque and horsepower to balance out the weight gain the USDM STI should do well. Oh, also if we get the same gearing as the JDM model.

My guess is:

¼ mile: 12.9
0-60: 4.6
Top speed: 155mph

Default 0 to 60..........

The STI looks great.............300 Hp

But don't bet the "Ranch" it will be in the sub 5 Sec range 0-to-60, As subaru has had the reputation of putting tall gears in its road going cars (Lets hope there 4.44)

The New EVO box is almost perfect right out of the door.

The quickest the aus spec (265hp) STi has run is a 13.6. It was initially reeling off low 14's until Subaru said they had mistakenly used the wrong weight engine oil. When they provided another car with the correct oil the magazine in question ran a 13.6.

Our models have severe problems with turbo lag (its a VF30). It is mostly thought to be an ECU issue, with Subaru Australia being very cautious about fuel quality issues etc. With an ECU tune they usually run low-mid 13's.

I think the USDM model will be a quick one, as long as it doesn't suffer from any of these type of issues. Low 13's would be my bet. They should launch well with the tricky diffs and extra capacity.

It will definitely do 0-60 sub 5 secs. No problem. Even if it had the same damn tall tranny as our wrx 5 speeds it would.

But if 0-60 is your worry then don't it has 6 speeds so hopefully the tranny is optimized for speed not 0-60 making 1st and 2nd too tall.

So what if you loose to 60 but rape another car by 70? I'd prefer to have a car that's gears are driveable. Unlike the stupid 4th gear I have currently. and 5th....... whatever.
