Default Fog Lights?

Okay, so every picture I've seen of the STi has the fog light covers in place. Are the lights still there or do they remove them as a weight savings on this version? Personally, I like having the lights on there. Unfortunately I also like the way the covers look, but I wouldn't want them on all the time. Are those covers easy to remove? If so, isn't theft a concern?

I think no STi ever comes with fog lights.

The accessory web page on the Japenese site lists them as options. I hpope they make it here as options also. However, with HIDs they might not be needed.

The thing I like about the fog lights, though, is where they are mounted. Nice and low to cut underneath the fog where regular headlights (HID or not) sometimes have trouble.

with HIDs, yellow foglights are very nice to have. Well, if you live in the northwest where there is a bunch of rain, fog, and snow, HIDs can almost make it harder to see.

But I like the contrast between HID light and yellow light together so I'd use them all the time.

Why are the fog lights on 2004 WRX so gay? I like JDM ones better.

The 04' WRX's have projector style fog lights. I read from one of the Websites that had info on the new release.

From the specs, it looks like only the usdm my2004 wrx (non STi) fogs use halogen projectors. The usdm my2004 wrx low & high, as well as the jdm wrx fogs seem to use halogen reflectors.

I have to agree, one thing I've always loved about Imprezas are those HUGE fog lights!! The ones on the '04 WRX are not that pretty.

Anyway, just my opinion, I'm also intrigued about the fog lights on the Sti.
