Default 02 to 04 headlight conversion?

anybody with 02+ imprezas thought about changing their headlights to the new 04 style?

so far it looks like the changes would be to replace

- hood
- front fenders
- headlight unit
- bumper

and also cut a small section out of your frame for the new headlights to seat properly
its do-able i think.

heres a pic

anybody know of any other changes that need to be made for these lights to fit?

it would be cheaper to trade in for the 04 with a 02 or 03

I agree...it looks like you need to get new front quarter panels and the front sub frame. These parts are expensive to buy and you also have to prime, paint and install. The front sub frame may not even fit if Subaru did some minor changes to the frame itself.

back when i had my type-r, a jdm front end conversion cost as much as $4-5kcdn to do the actual conversion, including replacement of the radiator support and cutting the front aprons. the parts were as much as $7-9kcdn.

but i've been out of the loop for some time now so prices may vary...

Default As little as $3995 US!

Hi,
I looked into it a month ago. A Company (can't remeber which) offered the 04 upgrade for $4995 US with a special on for $3995 US
That's yes $6400 CDN Plus shipping and Installation...
Forget it! I did. Just order JDM projectors or morettes instead:-)
