Talking Borla is sooo Sweet...sound file enclosed

Hey all,
Me and burninrubber got together last night and made some sound files of each of our exhaust.
I have the Borla-GenIII headers with stock cats, borla mid-pipe and Borla exhaust.
I got the setup from SPO-motorsports.
Cost was just around $1k for everything.
Both files are a little over 1mg. They are very good quality no distortion, to really hear the sound you need some good speakers(very bassie) if you listen at about 23 secs in, Burninrubber wasn't watching the tach when he was reving my engine, and hit the rev limiter. Thanxs Gary. I mean, yeah it revs up quick. J/K

Gary I can't remember what exhaust you have, so if you wanna step in and let them know.

I also have:
Larrys CAI
K&N high flow filter
Magnecor 8.5mm
If anyone has any Q's Pm me.
l8ter and enjoy
Ryan D.
should all work now. I just needed to link the page not the file. They don't let you do that with free space.
enjoy http://imprezed99.tripod.com/ryansimpreza/

We're famous ! Do we qualify for Icy Hot Stunta status now . Really though, we had a good time last night. Next time we'll have to do some taping. I know there's something being planned by JC Sports to get every one up at the drag strip at the same time, but plans are tentative at the moment. They want to get a few more WRX's done.

Anyway, regarding the test drives. His car pulls pretty close to mine and he has less tuning parts. I've got:

Lightweight pulley
fuel pump
torque chip one
dual filter intake
2 1/2 full cat back

The sound wasn't quite what I thought it would be. I guess it was the muffler. You could tell that the header was there, definitely. It had a much deeper tone to it.
As far as comparing the pull of both cars, we just had our butt dynos. Both of our tests were conducted with both of us in the cars. From talking to him while he was driving his car, he had it floored to match what mine did as a roll on into the throttle. I think that's where the fuel delivery comes into play. It was still imprezzive . I want that header when you upgrade to the turbo . Gotta run.

Personally, after riding in both cars I would say mine pulls just a little harder. Way up top over 80mph I might say burninrubbers pulled a little harder because I don't have the TC, yet or fuel pump. But we all love our own ride and I'm sure he will say his was quicker. We may never know. I wish we could have raced or tested with a G-tech. That's it I'm getting a G-tech. Anyone know a good place to pick on up.

Gary-wanna race Muhahahaha

I'm still cleaning my underwear out from the ride I just too in TARMAC's JC prepped WRX. It's faster than Larry's car! Hell with N/A, I give up. There's no way it can compete with 15lbs of boost in a ball bearing turbo.
That thing will break 13's here at denver's altitude with just a bit more work. Don't be surprised when the first American 12 sec wrx rolls out of there... That was just too damn impressive, even with the air conditioning on! Which one of our cars is faster really is a moot point next to that. But, I'll race ya anyway . I'll probably be up at Bandimere tomorrow.

(edit) after just reading Imprezer's upgrades, this may turn interesting.

Gary

Borla do sound good.
Have you guys tried starting you car with out the muffler. It sounds crazy. I almost pissed in my pants when I heard it. I wounder what it would sound like with the Borla headers and no muffler.
