Default NICE! STX guys do NOT have to sweat the STI or EVO8

Both have made the STX exclusion list.

I figured neither would not be allow in STX. Both would take the class. I mean, a STI with 300hp, with a good set of coilovers and it's controlable center diff and with the potential of having more HP with STX rules, would mop up the class.
It will not be legal Divisionally or Nationally for stock class until 2004, because it's a 2004 model. Unless, they do the same thing they did you the 2002 WRX and allow it in one year early. This is the same for all other classes, which it will have in SP, P but not sure about SM. As for local events. That is up to the local region.

I never really thought about the STi not being in a stock class for this year, but it's possible. It's not going to be available until well into the 03 season, like late May or early June. Probably just throw it in ASP which I think they did with the 03 Cobra. The WRX was at least available in March of 01 before things really got started. The STi is above the engine limit anyways, but I'm glad the EVO is excluded as well since it would own the class without much problem in stock form.

The STi isn't a bad car for SM in stock form. Imagine it with a bigger turbo and TMIC, which is maybe $2k in expense and some nice wide tires.

No. My car with a STI drive train and 275 R-compound tires would own the planet.
