Question is this normal?

when i'm in low gears (2nd gear is somehow most apparent) and under 2000rpm, whenever i lift off or press the throttle suddenly, the car sorta bobs back and forth... it has been going on for quite a while, but lately it really started to bother me

anyone has a clue what might be the cause(s)? i think i'll go ahead and reset the ECU and see if that helps, but i wanna know what's causing this

any help is appreciated... thanx~

I could almost lift the front end of my RX-7 doing this in 1st gear...

Slamming down on the throttle in a low gear is usually pretty jolty.

i know that for a manual-tranny car in low gear and low rpm it can get quite jolty, but i didn't expect it to be this bad

eitherway even if there's nothing wrong with my car, there's gotta be some way to make it better......

Welcome to the world of AWD!!!

The "jolts and jerks" you get are drivetrain lash. With the AWD system there is a lot of stuff meshing together to make the car go.
When you let off of the gas all of that loosens up at the same time and you get kind of a "bump" or "jolt" when it all tightens back up in the other direction.

EDIT: ByTheWay the ECU has nothing to do with it.

Totally normal, it threw me for a loop when I first got my RS too

IowaRS is completely correct.
Not to worry though, you simply need to learn to modulate the gas more smoothly. It took me alot of practice to get used to it, as I drove a Ford Taurus auto before I got my RS, but it will happen.
Rush hour stop 'n go is a good, if rather frustrating, place to learn smooth driving at low rpms/speeds .
