Post unorthodox pulley

hmm i have just heard something interesting, my friend said that his friends pulley has cracked due to the extreme heat but how can this be?? any one with pulleys who can tell me???

come on, has everyone's pulleys been perfect?? because i heard it cracked and i want to know if anyone elses cracked
