Default 13.03@103.49 on stock turbo....believe it or not

Well tonight i got faster. Let me start off by saying i'm posting this for the guys that believe and i don't want a flame war started. I just want to let the guys that care know. My quest to 12's is really close.

I ran 5 times.....

My best was
0.53
1.88
5.37
8.33@83.42
13.03@103.49 Fourth run

My others were
13.09@102.20 Last run
13.26@101.60 Secon run
13.34@101.16 Third run
13.17@103.35 First run after driving 45 miles from Waco with no cooldown.

I will tell you that i had just under a 1/4 tank of 93 octane gas and the temp was about 30.
I have the ecu reflash on order. I'm really afraid that i will run slower with that. Brett says that boost will be considerably lower than what i run now but the timing and fuel adjustments will make up for it. Boost was pretty high tonight. I'm seeing 16-16.5 in 1st-3rd gear. The car seems to like it. 12's should be next time at the track if the ecu does anything. Next mod is going to be 16" ssr comps in the 11 pound version

in 30degree weather at that psi I believe it.

if you go with the ssr comps, make sure you get lightweight tires too.

if you put azenis on there, its going to be heavier overall

No flames here. Those are good times.

Can't you run a bleed or ball and spring MBC or something with the reflashed ECU to keep your boost high (but still hopefully within your turbo's efficiency range) without any undue problems?

Well, that's good, but I'm currently running 0's in the quarter mile. My last run was 0.25 @13,455 mph. My 60 ft times are usually around 0.00003 or so, if I get a good launch. Wanna know how I do it? It's those splitfire sparkplugs that Pep Boys sells combined with a bottle of slick 50 gas treatment and very fine tunning of tire pressures on the stock RE92's.

OK, I was lying- at least about the slick 50 part. Seriously, good times though. This weather seems like the right stuff for good times. Was it very windy? -Bolster

Other than a 100% stock WRX turbo and 1/4 tank of 93 octane gas, what was your total 1/4-mile setup (mods, weight reduction, chemical enhancement etc.)?

at 30degree temps he is getting a big power boost. like 15hp just from air density, and how knows how much from increased intercooler efficiency

Thumbs up Good run joe

Very good run. As you all know I'll be at redline in the afternoon. I have been posting it all week long (or longer)!!!! I am out to back joe up on his stock turbo times. All I have is the silencer box out. GMK boost controler, and a strait pipe where the muffler was. I am expexting 8.5s or better with a under 2.0 60ft my car pulls hard with no spark knock I also have an unrestricted up-pipe and done the resistor mod. Stock WRX $100.00 and some labor I should be in joe's time area. I will post it in the evening good or bad. Wish me luck. GMK

Talking re

how you do it? By listening to Cake "Going the distance" over and over and over then in the morning I'll drink alot of coffee with no food. I will either be lighting fast with my reactions or pass out on the starting line. Iam running 17-18 psi of boost by the way I hope this would help its spools very fast and I can speed shift with the best of em. Hey stick whats up! Wish you could make it. I hope someone can or ya'll will treat me like Joe

Not bad, you should be able to get a better 60' then that though.

The MPH is believable only because of the freezing weather.
