Question Ram Air Impreza

Has anybody ever done or considered making a ramair type intake to take advantage of that huge scoop we have?

I have just recently made a ram air kit for mine. It's a little diferent than 8complex's. I kept the air filter vertical and made a aluminum box to guide the air from the scoop to the intake.

any pics of any of these? I'd also be very intrested in them, or even using the left side vent to get colder air. I was thinking about using a trap like the ones used in a sink only with a small hole in the botton to drain any water that came in from outside. I think the problem with using the scoop is getting unwanted crap into your filter and possibly (maybe water) into the engine.

I have an Opened Scoop and a filter right on the Throttle Body itself. I made a Heatshield/Air box out of galvanized sheet metal and used the stock airboxs' mounts to secure it with some rubber bushings. I also made a sheet metal pice to cover the scoop when it rains but I left it alittle short so Air can still makes its way into the box but water just drips on past the filter.
