Default Jim Hoyd Design

Can anyone give me telephone or fax details for Jim Hoyd? - ive tried email but no response.
I'm trying to get hold of STI HID headlight pnp harness adaptors for my stock WRX. There doesnt seem to be any place in the uk to get them so it looks like ive got to import them. I cant just chop my main loom as this invalidates my uk Subaru warranty.
- unless of course anyone knows a uk supplier.
Cheers

Nick

Trust me.

Go to Pep Boys and get a 9005 plug (for the STI light highbeams)

Then just hardwire everything. You could always cut the stock harness plug and get a whole new plug set and do it yourself.

The Jim Hoyd harness sucks. Plain and simple. My lights would flicker on and off somtimes. I kept having to go under my hood and had to keep fixing it or jigling it.

Make your own harness. Just my 2 bits on the harness. I considered it a $30 waste since it does include the 9005plug and the OEM plug which you will need to buy anyway. ITs good for somthing I guess.

I agree make your own,,gut a 9007 bulb,turn a 3 wire into 4, get a 9005 and a H1 plug and your good to go.Easier then it sounds cheaper too.

Mr Hoyd is back in stock, however I gave up on him and wired my STi lights yesterday with $15 worth of stuff from Autozone:

1 spool of wire
2 9005 Harnesses
2 boxes of wire taps

Install was easy, only about 30 minutes per light (and I have no experience with this stuff). I left my factory harness in place so I can revert back easily. Here is more info for those interested in wiring themselves and saving some cash:
