Dear ****ing douchebag gray STI sedan driver this morning at 8am in Boston. Late 20's or early 30's, short hair.

Apparently you didn't see or hear me when you jumped from the left into the right hand lane without signaling (or looking) to run the red light at Dorchester Ave and A Street in South Boston. You didn't see the motorcyclist in the bright yellow jacket and white helmet, who blasted his air horn at you while standing the bike on its' nose?

Of course, cutting those lights didn't save you a second of time since the light onto Rt 93 is twice as long. That's how I was able to catch up to you at the light, and again when you were turning off to Storrow Drive.

Yup, that was me behind you, flashing my lights and hitting the horn again to flip you the bird.

You probably come through South Boston just about every day at about the same time. So sometime this week at on of the red lights you do stop at, you and I are going to have a conversation.

Anyone who doesn't watch out bikers sucks. Unless the the biker is being dumb. People who lane split or run up the side or take close dives into lane changing give the rest of us motorcyclists a bad name. Feel free to hit those ones.

This isn't funny even in jest. It's also a good way to wind up driving a car with no sideview mirrors.

I was in the RH lane coming up to the light, which was already yellow. There was no one in front of me and I was slowing down.

Dbag boy was behind a truck when it started slowing down. He probably looked in the rear view instead of turning his head, so he saw the car behind me but not me. After all, I'm very stealthy.

I always watch for bikes. a lot of people do not know what to do if they see one coming down on them. just dont move. its that easy, 99% of the time the rider already knows ware hes going, if you move he has to recalculate his line, seen a lot of people do it - makes me cringe.

You wear all of that gear but the little man on the back gets some shoulder pads and some gloves. Im sure you have gear for him, but those pants/shoes/jersey aren't going to help him in a spill. Jacket, boots, tough pants will. Safe riding.

Thankfully he survived the several hundred yard ride to the park at the bottom of our street to go to his football practice.

He has a Tourmaster Jett II jacket and pants.

I'm glad you have him covered. Not going after you. I'm just retentive about gear/bikes.

Dear Blue Diamond recycling truck,

Thank you so much for cutting me off this morning. I really appreciate how you didn't bother to pull into the clearing at the end of the side road you were on, but instead just jumped out from behind the trees. I love having to slam on the brakes of my father's 5-ton F550 mason dump on my way to pick up brush. You were so "considerate" that you even swung extra wide which meant that the oncoming driver had to swerve into the shoulder to avoid you. Additionally, I think it's great that you stopped 20 feet later to pick up a recycling can.

In all seriousness though, if I ever see you drive so recklessly again in a residential area with a vehicle that size I will write down your license plate, I will write down your driver number, I will report you to Blue Diamond, and I will make sure that you are fired.

Sincerely,
The guy in the Ford F550

Dear Mr. Rage in the Hyundai,

Thank you for brightening up my morning. At least I can laugh at your expense today, but let me tell you how much of an idiot you are. If you're in a lane that ends, it is your job to responsibly merge into the other lane. Traffic 101. So as I'm following a commercial dump truck and there is a bus in the lane that ends next to it, if you're trying to get in front of the truck and then realize that it isn't possible, you brake and then merge. You decided to ride next to me for a quarter of a mile through unoccupied meter spots thinking that I was going to let you into my lane for some reason. Now normally I would have, but since you were trying to jump in front of him like a prick, and on top of that there was plenty of room behind me, I decided to keep my course. I did not speed up, and I did not cut YOU off.

So as my windows were down and I was enjoying the 85 degree morning air in Watertown, you decided to scream over "YO DICKHEAD" what must have been four or five times. Clearly, you mad. As you finally decide to merge into the appropriate place behind me due to parked cars, you tailgate me. Whatever dude, I get it, again... you mad. As I pull into the Dunks on Main street and see you turn behind me, I know what is on your mind.

I stroll out of my car to get a nice cup of morning coffee and a sandwich because it's 6:55, and quite frankly, I'm a little hungover. I figured that I would let you go off and just move along. Let's indulge the internets in this interaction:

*Park in a legal spot in the lot*
*Hyundai parks right behind me, blocking traffic*
*Both drivers exit vehicles, I don't really acknowledge his blatant presence*

Rage: "Yo dickhead ******* what the **** is your ****ing problem?"
Me: "You were in a lane that ended, what is the problem?"
Rage: "I was in a lane that went straight too you ****ing dick"
Me: "No, that lane ended a while back. I would suggest a proper merge next time"
Rage: "You better be ****ing careful, that's how you get yourself into trouble in Massachusetts pal" (I still don't know what this guy meant by that)

Before I continue, I just want to say that at this point I'm trying to hold back my laughter... but this seemed like a great opportunity to troll. So I took my chances.

Me: "Are you mad, bro?"
*Looks up, doesn't know what to say*
Me: "OK, well don't rage too much the rest of the day"

and he was off.

Sincerely,

Chill the **** out dude... it's not even 7 in the morning.

Dear Oblivious Man in the Fitzsimmons Truck,

I am no psychic, but this morning you certainly made me feel like one. Maybe it is just extremely perceptive driving, or maybe I have some gift of foreshadowing. As I'm pulling up on your right to a red light on a four lane road and you're cruising in behind the SUV in front of you... I got a feeling that you wanted to kill me. I quickly look over before you start your diabolical maneuver and realize that your passenger mirror is folded in. Yeah, I know where this is going. Drifting... drifting... OK, you're about to hit me. I let it get this far, because I thoroughly enjoy the reaction people have when they hear a car horn. As I lay on the Hella horns, you jerk the car back in the lane it belongs like a deer in the headlights.

Thanks,
Supertones
