Dear Red Budwieser liveried Chevy Monte Carlo,

What are you going to do now that Dale Earnhardt Jr. isn't driving that car anymore? It's going to cost an awful lot for paint, decals, and all of the associated stuff to make it look like his new ride? I'm guessing from the spray painted plywood side skirts that you don't really have the budget to upgrade.

Just curious,
The 4th car behind you in traffic

PS: Dale Earnhardt Jr. would not have been going 10 MPH below the spped limit on I-93.

Dear Cobalt SS driver

Do not come up to me at the local hang out place and ask me to race. Then after I tell you no, continue to tell me you eat modded sti's for lunch and dinner. This will really want me to get me to race you? not so much..... Thank you for comming to the track the next weekend and making an ass out of your self loosing to an automatic 92 civic ex when the best time you pulled in the quarter mile was a 16.7 with the supercharger whining its brains out.

Sincerely,
Apparently to slow for you

I hate to do this but....

Dear person in Forester,

When trying to merge onto route 84 eastbound from 684 (heading south), it is customary to speed up on the on ramp. I don't think it was appropriate that you were traveling at 30mph along the on ramp, and then braked to nearly a stop when the merge came up. You had CT plates so I am sure you must know the area, but forshizzle, almost stopping when you should be getting up to the speed limit and merging in to traffic (which there was nearly none) is insane.

Thanks for making my Thursday that much more interesting.

Dear WRB STi with New Hampshire plate 291-057 and Sunoco sticker on the front driver's side bumper,

It's only a parking garage. Slow down and stop terrorizing the people walking to and from their cars. It's drivers like you that give the rest of us a bad name.

Sincerely,

Dear 2008 WRX Hatch Driver...
Don't try to street race my friend's 2003 Evo. Your car was stock and flashing your hazards isn't cool. Had this been a real race, you would have lost... bad.

I don't street race.

Dear Toyota driving woman,

When traveling around the RT 2 Concord Rotary on the westbound side, please do not drop from 35 to 5 mph at each exit from the rotary to figure out where you are supposed to be going. And then drop to a complete stop upon reaching the Rt 2A exit. This almost caused a large accident with myself and the people behind/to the side of me. As I passed you, you realized that you wanted to continue down the road to the RT 2 exit along with the rest of us. Of course, following "proper etiquette" you just cut right back into the stream and cut off people behind me.

Cheers,
More MA than you.

Dear Toyota truck driver,
When you start to pull out in front of someone and then realize that you'll be hit if you do so, there's no need to glare at the other driver and then peel-out after the driver passes by.

Dear minivan driver,
When you decide to form a third lane on a two lane road (around a corner, no less), please refrain from honking at drivers that are actually IN a lane.

Signed,
Driver who refrained from blasting his Hellas.

Dear Dude in the Dodge Caravan,
A.) You didn't even touch the snow on your roof
2.) You tailgated, weaved, and cut people off
III.) You were doing about 20-25 over the limit in moderate-heavy traffic the morning after a snowstorm, on 95-S just to get off at Charles St.

Based on this, I dub you King of Douchebags.

Dear Dumbass in the Chrysler Concorde,
I know where were doing 40 MPH in the left lane of 295 (stupid van), but you shouldn't have been 10 feet from my bumper. I dub thee, Prince of Douchebags.

Dear Rav4 driver,

85 MPH when there's still snow on the road is just ****ing retarded, you ****ing retard.

Dear RIC physical plant,
It didn't occur to you to sand/salt College road coming up from Fruit Hill Ave? I saw two cars (Lincoln LS, brand new C-class Sport) within about 50 feet of each other that were just spinning their back wheels, even though their traction control systems were obviously working. Plus, I nearly bumped a Taurus in the back because my wheels locked. It was only seemingly through sheer willpower that I stopped in time (I partially blame the RE-92As, and the ABS system for stopping).

Signed,
FIT SMASH!

Dear Jordan's Furniture guys,

i know that your probably not working hard today due to the holiday comming up and the snow fall. But racing your work vans from the light on pawtucket blvd accross from the hospitol in these conditions while taunting each other probably isn't the best idea, especially towards the mammoth/blvd lights.

love,

Dear first person in line,

Generally, if you are the first person in a line of cars, and that line continued to grow longer as you creeep along at 15 MPH when you aren't spinning your bald tires trying to go up a hill in the snow in an area where there are no side streets that join in for 3 miles, it means that you are going slower than the flow of traffic and are holding everyone up. Please check your mirrors, and let those of us who know how to drive in the snow by.

Thanks,
One of the people in line behind you that was so far behind I couldn't tell what kind of car you were driving.

Dear Semi Driver (and CT DOT)

The left lane, see it over there, see the little silver GTI with HIDs for DRLs in the lane? Apparently not .... let me just say, trying to get a GTI back onto pavement at 70ish MPH on a sandy shoulder and wet muddy/snowy grass is not how I wanted to wake up this morning. Considering how much I want out of this car I shoulda just let you squash me, but in the interest of self preservation, I decided to take the softer route.

And to the CT DOT, can we please make 84 3 lanes from Mass to New York, and ban semi's from the left lane.

KthxBye

Dear SLP Camaro SS Driver,

Just because I am behind you doesn't mean I want to race you. Sitting at a light until it turns almost red so you can peel out sideways just isn't cool anymore. It's also not cool to rocket up to about 60 mph in a 40 and slam on your brakes to wait for me to catch up, only to floor it sideways again. I comprehend that you own a fast car...probably much faster than mine. I'm okay with that...seriously. You didn't have to repeat it the whole way down the road. I really don't need the police to see this and think that I'm baiting you, when I've got the cruise control set 7 mph UNDER the speed limit hoping you'll finally drive away from me.

Also, I'm not very impressed that you nearly wrecked a Camry SE when it took you off the line. Also, when I managed to pass you going the other way later that day, popping your clutch in traffic going the opposite way just straight up imrpessed me. I mean, that was like amazing...I was seriously really intimidated. Seriously.

Thank you

~Mike

PS. Being 35+ years old with a buzzcut, mirrored sunglasses and a copper SS with stupidly loud exhaust proves a few things about you. Have a fantastical day.

Dear 30% of the population,

When it snows, and your car is parked outside while it is snowing, it tends to accumulate on the car. Turning your headlights on prior to cleaning the snow off them doesn't really do much good. The brake lights tend to not show up too well, either.

Thanks,
The one person who cleans off his entire car prior to driving.

Dear POS owner.

When you're driving 15 under the limit and using your brakes like that it's apparent. Apparent that you are trying to be a D BAG, and holding up a line of traffic just because you can. When my 5 year old girl says from the car seat, and I quote, "Daddy, go around this guy, he's going to slow." Then you are REALLY going to slow.

At this time I'd like to thank Fuji Heavy Industries for the turbo-charged goodness that allowed me to get around your stupid self, and resume drive like a human again.

Stay off my roads, you don't belong.

Signed,
Passed you on the curve, because it's night and there were no headlights coming and you slowed down to F with us some more. Didn't expect that did you?

Kinney Road 2 tight for that action, as funas it is, and the speed limit is 25-30. No it was on 138 on a long sweeping corner, and the POS driver was doing 25. It only took 2 seconds to pass, and I was only doing 50 by the time I got around them. Still the speed limit!!!

I don't have a death wish for me or my kiddo, and I'm usually a very patient driver, but these idiots...wow. I was 4-5 cars lenghts back all the time, and they just ketp brake checking and weaving. Probably cocked or smoked up.

Some people have imaginary car syndrome. They brake for hallucinations. They seem to tap the pedal on every curve and every squirrel fart. It's insane but they're so scared of everything on the road that they become a hazard in themselves. They are usually the most indecisive drivers and cause accidents because they can't pick which pedal they need to use at an instance's notice: brake or gas, use one or the other. Instead, they just roll with the deer in the headlights look deciding what they should do next.

This is common. I see these people on the road all the time. You have to remember, like everything else in life, some people were not meant to do certain things and are absolutely horrific at it. The problem is that driving is a necessity of life in US for 99% of people so we're stuck with living with the least common denominator. Best thing to do is hope you don't get stuck behind people like that.

Dear White 94 Mustang GT Convertable

It was cute of you to drive fly past me at 2:30am swerving drunk. Its also better that you were trying to race me. The good news is I think you learned your lesson because your stupid and did it in front of the police station. Did the blue and red lights startle you that much?? How did that K Rail feel when you hit it donig around 95?? You know its sweet when the universe tends to unfold itself in a pleasing manner. At least the mudstain is at home with the rest of the Fords.

Sincerely,

Dear Snow Covered Car Drivers,

Just because your windshield is clean doesn't mean your safe. If you leave 8" of snow on the hood it restricts your view. If you leave the snow covering your head lights and flashers WE CANNOT SEE THEM!. So yes. I might have cut you off but if I cannot see yoru signals cause of your fat lazy butt not wanting to uncover your whole car you deserve to be cut off. Luckaly it was only in my Impreza and not the Delivery Truck. So all you northerners that are too lazy to completly uncover your cars if you DIAF i'll be there with marshmellows.
