Finally got a pic of the Random cat for the Impreza. It's not on their site yet, but they emailed me this...

Love it!

If you're going turbo, there really isn't any need to buy this bolt-in replacement for the stock cats. If anything, the downpipe you get with a turbo kit (like Minnam's) will have a high-flow cat integrated. Otherwise, if the downpipe has a flange for the cat, you could just buy the catalytic converter by itself from Random (much cheaper), but a turbo kit will really most likely already have a cat that flows better than stock (and from what I've seen, they all replace both stock cats with a single unit).

Looks like a good design. They give you a price and power gains in the email?

No mention of power gains. But for someone like me, that wants to combine this with headers and mandrel-bent cat back, I would think (from reading about Random cats in various articles) that it would be noticable. I'm gonna try them, and I can tell you what I think when I do...

They're $317 + shipping. Yeah, kinda expensive, but hey, it comes with NICE mandrel-bent piping!

DigDug, when I said while I go turbo I meant in the time I am NA.

That being said, I'm in the market for them!

Yeah, it looks like Photopoint is down for some reason... Probably just a temporary thing - check back on it in a while...

2.5" inlet and outlet.

Front and rear O2 sensors.

Did I get everything there?

Digdug- Did you say you have this all ready or you are getting it in the near future.
I would like to hear if it works for you?

I would like to know what it sounds like with a complete exhaust system and intake.

It is certainly 2.5" inlet and outlet.

I don't have it yet, but I'll post when I have gotten it in.

Are you positive that the piping is 2.5" O.D. From the picture it looks as if it might be 2.25". Let me know. Is it full stainless too. Looks pimp as hell.
