Post Is this normal?

I've noticed this a few times while going down my driveway. I'll have the car in 1st gear and I'll be letting it coast. The clutch is not depressed and I'm not touching the gas. Once the car speeds up to about 8, maybe 10 mph, r'spm above about 1500....first gear will pop out and return to neutral.

Is this normal? Anyone else experienced this?

I too have a pretty long driveway, and I do the very same thing daily, and so far I haven't had it do that. I'd definetly have it checked by the dealer.

KenS had this problem twice in his '98 Forester, both covered under warranty. You could probably find his profile and PM or email him.
