a kid that graduated from my school last year is building a supra like that right now. he is 1/2 way there only after like 6months.
he is putting like $50k. into it.

makes 400hp WRX look and sound slow.

bump!!
to let more poeple enjoy this.
my friend anctualy desided to sell his turbo civic(w/ 25k into it) to get a GS300 lexus(has same engine as a supra). he is going to strap on a T88 turbo and everything he needs to have it run properly, and he doesn't even need to do his internals or anything to run 800-900hp, i guess those engins are bullet proof and can run 35psi, and use stock internals(w/0 any problems)...

American GS300's come with the non turbo version of the supra motor. While some parts from the turbo bolt on, the 10.5:1 compression ratio prevents them from running a lot of boost.

A swap to a 2JZGTE engine is possible but the rear turbo has some clearance problems.

I am looking for a lexus for a friend right now, so I have done a lot of looking. The Japanese version of the Lexus GS300 (I forget what it is called...) has a slightly different firewall and frame rail that clears the rear turbo.

thats what i ment, and it whould be a single turbo(t88 or another drag turbo). he desided this like a week ago and wont happend till early fall(so he can race his civic in scca). but if this happendes it will be bad as Hell

Did anyone check out the dyno chart on that supra. 12:1 air/fuel ratio!?! Isn't that insanely lean at those boost levels?
