Phase II engine?

I've got a MY98 impreza 2.2. In MY99 the 2.2L engine is listed as a phase II. From what I've been able to gather the heads are supposed to be different somehow. Both 98 and 99 2.2L motors have a SOHC. I know what is different between the 2.5L engines, but can't find any info on the 2.2L. Does anybody know what is different? Also are the blocks the same?

the main bearing design is the same, the changes to the head are the same, but obviously these components are not identical to their 2.5L counterparts.
