I'm replacing my fog lights with driving lights and would like to avoid cutting into the stock wiring harness. I'm looking for the foglight connector (the one on the light itself, the one that mates with the one on the wiring harness). I'll be using the existing harness only for controlling a new relay that will power the driving lights when both the foglight switch is selected and the high beams are on.
My dealer told me the connector is available only with the complete foglight assembly. Does anyone know of a source for these connectors or have a part number? Perhaps someone has a burned out, cracked or otherwise useless foglight that they'd be willing to "part out"? Thanks.

Just a comment, I replaced my fogs with Hella 500 driving lights, and as they use the same H3 bulbs, I managed to remove the bulb socket and wiring from the OEM fogs, and out it into the Hella lights, so they became "plug and play" which made for easy electrical installation.

How about http://www.painlesswiring.com/connectr.htm
If not, how about tapping the existing wires so that you have two connectors running out of your car's fog wiring. I.e., get a new pair of male-female connectors, splice the male onto the OEM wiring such that you have two connectors coming out of the OEM wiring. One is the OEM connector for the OEM fogs, and another is the new one you spliced onto. Install the female on the new light. You can just cover the dangling OEM connector with tape. |

I have asked this question before and never found anyone who knows where to get new ones. Someone suggested a web site that sells a million molex connectors with no further help.
Another person suggested scoobymods.com but I could never find anything there. I posted that question there also but got no response. The junk yard is another option. Dealers don’t sell them. I think if you want independent wiring you will have to fashion your own in some way. |

Well, this is the ghetto way to do it, but you just stick a pin into the connector that's there, instead of finding the right mate. Just make sure you secure everything well so it won't vibrate out. I know it's kind of a hack, but it WILL work, and requires no cutting.
