Question Exhaust for 2002 RS

I'm planning on replacing the exhaust on my 2002 RS with a Stromung cat-back with dual tips . Will exhaust systems made for pre-2002 Imprezas fit a 2002?

I would be fairly surprised if it didn't fit. It seems most of the changes in the new model RS are mainly cosmetic. Alot of the mechanical parts are the same. Last night, I removed my rear sway bar and compared it with one from a 2001 RS. They are exactly the same. Larry Ganz has already confirmed that his cold air intake will fit the 2002 model with no problems(I already ordered mine). I would say check with whoever you are ordering it from. They may be willing to let you try it out and refund your money if it doesn't fit. Most tuning shops don't have a new RS to play with, as they're all busy making parts for the WRX instead.

If you're looking for something like the Stromung, I'd get the Brullen instead... they will have the 2002 systems available soon... it'll be cheaper than a Stromung.

Is the Stromung really loud? I don't want loud, I want the extra HP. A nice deep burble might be nice though.

John-
Front or rear sway bar? The front may be longer, since the new sedans have a wider front track, but the rear bar is exactly the same. There are at least 4 other people on this board who were there when I compared them.

Poseidon I think we are talking about different bars. The rear sway bar I put on my
02 was a 20 and it is longer than the pre 02
Imprezas rear sway bar. Do this mod with good
tires and it really makes the car handle good
