Question what about this?

okay, i have a '99 with the cursed MAF...

what about swithing the 99ECU with a '00-01ECU and MAP? how feasible is that... cost, parts, interchangability... etc.

I wouldn't recommend doing this. I don't know alot about the MAF failures, but I personally think the MY00-01 ECU has issues of its own. Have you thought about just a sturdy aftermarket MAF? Cobb is coming out w/ one, I believe.

Your safest bet would be to get a programmable ECU that comes with a MAP sensor. If your mad with your MAF sensor then your probably palnning to go forced induction or use some kind of air intake. Ive heard the stock MAP from a MY00 RS is good for abotu 2-4psi and it will fight you even at that. Use your MAF with a tube style air intake until you destroy the MAF. Then by the Tec-II and go forced induction.

Sorry about pushing these opinions on you. I'm dreaming for myself.

Thanks
Brad
